Heartbeat Bears

We are delighted to provide heartbeat bears with our partners Kalma Baby and Window To The Womb to the North Durham, Darlington Memorial and Sunderland Royal for all babies who require neonatal care.

These bears are also provided to the neonatal unit at The James Cook University Hospital for families whose babies who require end of life.

The bears feature a recording device inside with a special recording of baby’s heartbeat, which when cuddled or squeezed, plays from inside the bear.

Our hope is that these bears bring comfort to many of the families we care for each year.
