Sensory Safe Photography

We want you to know that if we ever attend a neonatal unit which your baby is on, we only use ‘sensory safe’ filming and photography methods.

That means that we don’t use bright lights, or flash when taking pictures of videoing your baby or babies.

We do this because, intense sensory stimuli, such as camera flash, can adversely impact your baby’s sensory development at a crucial stage of growth.

We also ensure that noise is kept to a minimum to comply with safe sound recommendations. Should interviews be required for filming, these will be conducted in a suitable environment.

To us, it is a lot more important that your baby is safe whilst we are shooting, than getting a highly-lit crystal-clear photograph.
